Cooking Instructions for Ceremonial Haggis
WARNING When you are heating a ceremonial haggis in the pot on the stovetop, the water must NEVER BOIL. Regardless of what you tell folk, some do-gooder always comes along and says "the haggis will never heat this way, the water has to boil". Well this is a disaster because if the water boils, the tripe will split and the results will be haggis soup.
